Moving Company Software in 2026: The 7 Best Tools Compared, With Real Prices

The short version: the best moving company software is priced by the office, and it is expensive

Moving software is priced like moving: by the truck-day rather than by the seat. The two published-price movers' tools are Elromco at $289 a month for three office users and MoveitPro at $359 a month on a 12-month agreement ($449 month to month), both with unlimited crew. SmartMoving and Movegistics publish no prices. A two-truck local mover that mostly needs quotes, a calendar and a card on file can run on Jobber Core at $29 or Housecall Pro Basic at $59 for a fraction of that. The only tool on this list built to get you found on Google is ServicePro, which is free.

Here is the whole field, with prices taken from each vendor's own pricing page on September 5, 2026.

Every tool above except ServicePro manages the move after the customer has booked. The section after the reviews covers the other half: how a mover gets found in the booking window, which none of the six do.

What moving software has to do that general contractor software does not

A move is a one-and-done sale with a quote that depends on an inventory, a crew and a truck that have to be in the same place at 8am, and a tariff that changes with distance and weight. General contractor software has none of that; movers' software is mostly that.

The features that matter, in the order they save a dispatcher's day:

  • Estimates from an inventory. A room-by-room survey (in person, by video, or by the customer on their phone) that becomes cubic feet, weight, hours and a price, with the tariff applied.
  • Dispatch by truck and crew. Trucks, drivers, movers and packers on one board, with the day's jobs, the drive time and the overtime visible.
  • The crew app. Bill of lading, inventory tags, damage photos, signatures and payment on the customer's doorstep, offline if the building has no signal.
  • Storage and long distance. Storage-in-transit, warehouse inventory, interstate paperwork and tariffs, for the movers that do it.
  • Lead follow-up. A moving customer gets three quotes in a week; the tool that follows up the estimate automatically wins more of them.
  • Payments and deposits. A deposit at booking, the balance on delivery, on a card, from the crew's phone.

What movers are commonly upsold and rarely need in year one: multi-branch management, payroll, a warehouse module, and a call-centre product.

Elromco: the cheapest movers' tool with published prices

Elromco is a movers' CRM and dispatch platform with the estimate, the crew app and the tariff built in, and it is the cheapest of the trade-specific tools that will tell you the price.

Pricing as of September 2026, from Elromco's pricing page: Professional is $289 a month for a single branch, three office users, unlimited crew and 500 free text messages, and Enterprise is $399 for unlimited office users, multi-branch, 1,000 messages, API access and a dedicated account manager. No setup fees, texts at 2.5 cents beyond the allowance, and a website builder as a $99-a-month add-on. There is a free demo rather than a trial.

Best for: a local mover with one to three trucks and a small office that wants the survey-to-estimate flow, dispatch and the crew app without a quote-only sales process.

What to know: three office users is the limit on Professional, and the jump to Enterprise is $110. The website add-on is a place to send people who already know your name; it does not track whether you rank for "movers near me".

MoveitPro: every feature, priced by contract length

MoveitPro is one of the older movers' platforms, and its pricing is unusual: one feature set, with the price set entirely by how long you commit.

Pricing as of September 2026, from MoveitPro's pricing page: on a 12-month agreement, $359 a month prepaid annually or $449 billed monthly; on 24 months, $323 or $404; on 36 months, $292 or $365. Every plan includes two office users, one branch and unlimited view-only crew, with extra office users at $70 to $80 a month, extra branches at $50, and the full crew app at $20 per user a month. No setup fee and no trial are mentioned.

Best for: an established mover that knows it will still be running the same tool in three years and wants dispatch, storage, tariffs and the crew app without tier gating.

What to know: the crew app is $20 a user on top, so a company with ten movers using it is paying $200 a month more than the headline. A 36-month commitment at $292 is the cheapest rate and the hardest to leave.

SmartMoving and Movegistics: the quote-only tools

Both are movers' platforms built for companies with sales staff and several trucks, and neither publishes a price.

SmartMoving, as of September 2026 from its pricing page: a Growth plan for established movers, with lead routing, payroll, QuickBooks and reporting, priced by quote after a demo. It is the tool most often recommended to movers past five trucks.

Movegistics, from its pricing page: built around AI video surveys, sold as survey packs (25 to 150 a month) or as a full CRM with dispatch, crew app and warehouse, both priced by quote, month to month, with text messages at $50 per 1,000. The page advertises launch pricing locked for the first hundred customers.

Best for: SmartMoving for a company with a sales team and a dispatcher that wants the deepest reporting; Movegistics for a mover whose bottleneck is the in-home survey and who wants the customer to do it on a phone.

What to know: get the all-in monthly number in writing, including office users, crew seats and messages, before comparing either to Elromco at $289. Quote-only pricing in this category tends to land well above the published tools.

Jobber and Housecall Pro: for the local mover that lives on quotes

A two-truck local mover doing apartments and small houses does not need a tariff engine. It needs a fast quote, a calendar, a deposit and a review request, and the general tools do that for a tenth of the price.

Jobber, as of September 2026 from its pricing page: Core is $29 a month on annual billing for one user, Connect is $99 for one user and $149 for five, and Grow is $149 for one and $229 for five, with review requests and campaigns as a $99-a-month add-on. Quotes with options, deposits, scheduling and payments are polished; there is no inventory-based estimate and no bill of lading. Our Jobber pricing guide has every tier.

Housecall Pro, from its pricing page: Basic is $59 a month on annual billing or $79 month to month for one user, Essentials is $149 for up to five, and MAX is $299, with review requests on Basic and campaigns as an unpriced add-on. Our Housecall Pro pricing guide has the per-user steps.

Best for: a local mover with one or two trucks, hourly pricing, and a sales process that is a phone call and a quote.

What to know: neither has an inventory survey, a tariff, storage or interstate paperwork. Each crew member on the app is a user, which is the expensive axis for a mover; the movers' tools give crew away and charge for the office.

The half none of these cover: showing up when someone searches

All six tools above start working after the customer has booked. Someone requests a quote, the software surveys, estimates, dispatches and collects. Every one of those is downstream of the customer finding you, and in moving the customer only looks once.

When a household needs a mover they search Google for "movers near me" or "moving company [town]", four to six weeks before the date, and they call the two or three companies in the map results with recent reviews and a page that says what a two-bedroom move costs. Our moving company marketing guide covers the one-and-done problem; the point here is that the booking window is where a mover's marketing lives, and none of these tools work there.

Some of the tools gesture at this. Elromco sells a website add-on, Jobber includes a basic site, Housecall Pro sells one and sends review requests on Basic. Each is a place to send people who already know your name. None of them tracks whether you rank for "movers near me" in the towns you serve, builds the town-by-town pages that earn map placement, or posts to your Google profile and social accounts for you.

Where ServicePro fits

ServicePro covers the getting-found side, and it is designed to sit alongside whichever movers' tool you pick from the list above. We do not survey, dispatch or run a tariff, so there is nothing to migrate.

The free plan builds a full website from your Google Business Profile in about five minutes, on your own domain, with up to five service pages (local moves, long distance, packing, storage, commercial), a booking page for a quote request, an inbox for every call and message, a review widget with five review requests a month, and no per-lead fees at any volume.

Pro is $99 a month with no contract, and adds the pieces a marketing agency would otherwise charge a retainer for: Google Map rank tracking for "movers near me" across your whole service area, up to 25 location pages so you rank in every town you cover, a tracked phone number with two-way texting, 100 automatic review requests a month with AI-drafted replies, posts written and published for you to your Google Business Profile and to Facebook and Instagram, and analytics that show which searches turned into quotes. The movers page shows what the site and the rank tracking look like for this trade, and our moving company SEO guide covers the search side in depth.

How to choose, by the moves you run

  • One or two trucks, local, hourly. Jobber Core at $29 or Housecall Pro Basic at $59 for the quotes, calendar and deposits, ServicePro free for the site, quote page and reviews.
  • Two to four trucks, local, survey-based estimates. Elromco Professional at $289 for the survey, dispatch and crew app, plus ServicePro Pro at $99 for the rank tracking and the tracked number. About $390 a month for the whole stack.
  • Established, storage and long distance, staying put for years. MoveitPro on a 24- or 36-month agreement ($292 to $323 prepaid) plus the crew app seats, or Elromco Enterprise at $399, plus ServicePro Pro.
  • Five or more trucks with a sales team. SmartMoving (all-in number in writing) plus ServicePro for the map pack in every town.
  • The survey is the bottleneck. Movegistics survey packs alongside whichever CRM you already run.

Whichever you pick, count the crew seats. The movers' tools give crew away and charge the office; the general tools charge every phone. A ten-mover company with two office staff is cheap on Elromco and expensive on Jobber Connect, and a two-truck owner-operator is the reverse.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best software for a small moving company?

For one or two trucks doing local hourly moves, Jobber Core at $29 or Housecall Pro Basic at $59 covers quotes, the calendar, deposits and reviews. Once estimates come from a room-by-room survey and there is a dispatcher, Elromco at $289 a month for three office users and unlimited crew is the cheapest movers' tool with published prices.

How much does moving company software cost?

From $29 to $59 a month on the general tools, $289 to $399 a month on Elromco, and $292 to $449 a month on MoveitPro depending on contract length, plus $20 per crew user for its app. SmartMoving and Movegistics are quote-only and generally cost more. Getting found is a separate line: ServicePro is free, or $99 a month with rank tracking.

Elromco or MoveitPro?

Elromco for a mover that wants month-to-month pricing, three office users and the crew app included at $289. MoveitPro for an established company willing to sign 24 or 36 months for a lower rate ($292 to $323 prepaid) and pay $20 a user for the full crew app. Both include the survey-to-estimate flow, dispatch and tariffs.

Can a moving company use Jobber?

Yes, for local hourly moves. Jobber's quotes with options, deposits, scheduling and payments handle a two-truck local mover well at $29 to $149 a month. It has no inventory survey, tariff, storage or bill of lading, so a mover doing long distance or estimating from cubic feet will outgrow it, and every crew member on the app counts as a user.

Which moving software does video surveys?

Movegistics is built around AI video surveys the customer does on their phone, sold as packs of 25 to 150 a month at quoted prices. Elromco, MoveitPro and SmartMoving all support in-home and virtual surveys that produce the inventory and the estimate. The general tools have no survey feature.

Does moving software get you customers?

No. Every tool on this list starts working after the customer has asked for a quote. Some sell a website add-on or review requests, but none makes your company rank for "movers near me" in the four-to-six-week booking window or posts to your Google profile for you. That is the job of a site with a page per service, a complete profile and steady reviews, which is what ServicePro does alongside the movers' tool.
